If anyone has any system malfunction, guess who's held responsible??? I'm supposed to have been probing Bhardwaj's comp, screwed up gautam's PC and Phished Sariya's yahoo account. For the last time ... It wasn't me. (mumble grumble)

We need new costumes for the PEC finals. If you have any place in mind for the same then please do get in touch.

Title

Today is a great day in the life of A.G
I finally know who Kiranveer is!!! haha
And as a bonus I also familiarised myself with two Manpreets!!!
Roll No. 42 .... haha You know the story.
Pec is next week (the fest). Practice starts in a day or two. I'm dead... College, CCNA, Practice . Sleep@ 3:00 -4:00 a.m
Everybody in class whose name starts with "I" ends with the same letter.
um... go watch Rang de Basanti.
I know I said I dont hack stuff anymre but that might soon be a thing of the past : AGAIN!, I think I have these ON/OFF seasons!
Anyways I plan to restart on the college LANs.
We have a 4 lecture lab tomorrow and the day following it. Nothing serious though. Just some light stuff...simple snooping around and this n that.
Went to see Goonj (UIET's fest - That's PU).
Expected the group dance finals to be ultracool. Not even close.
Seemed like al the teams had been pulverised and forced to go on stage. Not a single performance worth watching. Kinda like us!!!!hahaha
There was, however, one girl (in white) in the UIET team who simply rocked (LSR level). Really awesome movements. Take her out of the equation and you have garbage left. Offcourse every team was acting as if they were Dance Gods.
Anyways, got an ATM lab tomorrow morning. Guess I better get sleep now.

The Gettysburg Address

Here is the famous Gettysburg Address delivered by President Abraham Lincoln (November 19, 1863 at Gettysburg, Pennsylvania).
It is ,beyond doubt, recognised to be the greatest speech ever to have passed through a mortal human's mouth.
Nothing I have ever read matches it.
This speech was made to commemorate the dead soldiers in the Battle of Gettysburg ( a pretty bloody one).
Edward Everett - The main speaker at the event- spoke for nearly 2 hours and nobody remembers what he said. Lincoln spoke for less than 2 minutes (10 sentences) and what he said has been immortalised.
Infact, the Address has been carved in gold (in a famous musuem in England who's name escapes me at this moment) to show what can be done with the English Language.
It is things like these that you should go through to really understand what English is all about. Shakespeare, The Bible, Emerson...(Can't think of any others worthy enough right now !). That's what I'm talking about (And No, the John Grishams, Sidney Sheldons, Stephen Kings, Jane Austens etc do NOT fall in the same category, though they do have ardent followers).

Tired

Attended 2 lectures. Mass bunk yet again. Played cricket yet again. I know I won't even be able to walk tomorrow morning (thanks to the cramps!).
Ami was thrashed in class (his birthday was yesterday). I'm telling you, if you are a boy and have the honour of being in X1 and it's your birthday then may God have mercy on your soul.
IT IS A SIN TO HAVE BEEN BORN IF YOU'RE IN X1 !!!

The first question ,in class, of the day, again, went to me. I just realised this - I'm already familiar with a lot of the ATM syllabus prior to this semester. That should help.
Attnded CCNA class in the evening. I already know most of the stuff these people plan to teach. Planning to pursue CCNP and CCSP after this followed by MCSE. I'm dead meat.haha
Had Chocolate Truffle for the 8th time this month. Yummy.
WE (Dhand, Jha, Jassi, Amitoj, I) laid seige to Katani yet again!!!

Feel like writing... like conveying my thoughts, my feelings right now but maybe this is the incorrect time.

PHL

Went to mba class in the morning and sat through the most futile GD session in the history of mankind. half of the group came up with no points and a few self proclaimed 'geniuses' gave extremely pointless arguments which were very well countered.
To sum it up, it was a waste of time. I would rather have studied RDBMS.lolz

Moving on, spent the afternoon online and playing the guitar. Sariya's finally got broadband installed at his place and came online for the first time in the evening (almost everybody from x1 was online - the boys that is). He chalked out plans for the two of us to go watch the PHL match between the MARATHA WARRIORS and the HYDERABAD SULTANS. (Kinda lame names).
Anyways, the first 30 or so minutes proved to be intriguing with both teams scoring a goal each and we were,coincidentally, right behind the goal post when both were scored. Nice.
We were also lucky to be able to watch the penalty shootouts. Nice again.
My very first live hockey match. Wouldn't want to do it again though!!!
Cooked noodles and consuming the same along with Coke as I write this.
Mr. Bhardwaj thinks I've been probing into his computer. The only problem here is that I was with Sariya at the stadium when he says the alleged attack took place. Offcourse, this makes no difference to him. So be it then.

Just Another Day

Guess who's back?
Me, Who else!!!!!

I missed my bus for the second time this week. Thank God PCL is right next door (almost all college buses pass from there). This time, however, it seemed my number was up as all the buses had crossed the junction before my arrival. Upon embarking on my journey back I looked hard and fast at a silver Santro waiting at the lights. Lo and Behold!!! Mr. Sodhi.
We got off at Mohali Motors and did eventually rech college on the bus!
Now at this interjection Mr. Sodhi would surely have exclaimed "Ehdi kismat eni vadiya hai naa ke bas ..."

Everybody who indulged in the little Cricket Session yesterday is all cramped up badly (Yours Truly included). Ouch !!!

It has been installed on top of Yahoo Messanger.
@Dhand - relax dude, this one is pretty much harmless (except for the stupid message it displays everytime you type something!!!)

Class was finally held. I was asked questions in both lectures that took place though this is of no significant consequence.
Roll No. 42 is the "IN" thing again this sem.
Mr. Sahi will not, in all proability, be falling short of attendence again. He's got so many of us to back him up!!!
Came back by the 1:30 bus. Got off at Mohali Motors. The 7 of us walked to 3b2 (and beyond). That's roughly 3-4 Kms in case you were unaware.
This was followed by Mr. Sodhi and Mr. Minhas (Jeet)accompanying me to Mr. Somal's house. A trip to CCD was inevitable.
I tried out the "Chocolate Truffle Sundae".
Definitely NOT worth Rs. 60.
Whilst exiting, Sodhi got up to leave and all of us stayed put in our respective chairs thus making him looking stupid. It looked extremely funny. He took his seat and nobody,for the next 15 minutes,got up from their seats (waiting for someone else to exit first).
Sort of like an infinite loop, a viscious circle...

Came back and have been online ever since.

Gautam's been pestering to teach him hacking.
Gave him the trick mentioned in my previous post.
I suppose that shall suffice for now.
I plan to watch "Dodge Ball" tonight.
I Plan to sleep at 7:00 am( that makes it 12.5 hours straight...nice).

@ Mr. Bhardwaj, You shall have the essay on Self Reliance soon. (Maybe on the blog itself). Wait and watch. Meanwhile I shall be finalising Blood Brothers (Iron Maiden) on the guitar.

Mass Bunk(Yet Again)

Played "The Gentleman's Game" PROPERLY after around 3 years.
I also finally bartered guitars with Mr. Sahi for a few days and I believe I shall be busy for the rest of the week in this respect.
It's been over two weeks since I last had dinner at home and I wish to address this situation from tomorrow.

Now that we are on this subject , here's a small hack for yahoo messanger users:
See the title bar on top of messanger where it says "Yahoo Messanger"?
Just figured out how to put somethign else in it's place like,say, "Aseem's Messanger".
It's really simple.
Just go to c:\Program Files\Yahoo\Messanger. Open the file named ymsgr.ini (in notepad offcourse!).
Ok now this is the file that yahoo messanger uses to fill up the various bars.
At the end of the file (or even in between) add the following lines:

[APP TITLE]
caption=Aseem's Messanger

That's it. The next time you login, You'll get Aseem's Messange written there.
This is a rather basic example of hacking but it just goes to show how easy it can be at times.

To Go or Not to Go ...

... for the trip, THAT'S THE FRIGGIN' QUESTION !
Our imbecile maagement cannot figure out whether the answer to the above posed question is a negative or an affirmative. Last I heard it's been postponed but hey, this is Bhaddal ... You never know.
Sheesh!!!
My CCNA course starts on Monday, 2 hours after college. Then I got my already on MBA classes on the weekends (4 hours each). I plan to join formal guitar classes as well. Then offcourse there's the sessionals and assignments but fret not; superman err... I mean Aseem should be able to manage it!lolz
But,seriously, I do expect to be extremely busy from Feb 1. I plan to add more 'chores' to my already swelling list.
Oh and I plan to read atleast 1 book a week(non- academic). I plan to have coffee atleast once a week at CCD. I plan to have ice sream atleast twice a week.
I plan for sanity not to elude me. I plan on making changes in life. (You needn't know about my other plans.)
(Hey, I just realised this... I do already do most of this stuff - if not all of it!)
Ok that's it from me.
I plan (lolz) to watch 'Nottinghill' tonight.
That's too many romantic movies in too short a span of time!!!

I finally went to my MBA class after around 3 months.Hurray!!!
Got my guitar priced. Turns out they're offering me 1200 smackeroos. You see i plan to buy a Signature or Givson Semi-Jumbo. I shal be the proud owner of one by next week (hope so).
This reminds me, I was sitting on the porch at night playing my guitar and this guy walks up to me, stops by to listen to me play and says that its been a long time since he saw or heard something played from the heart.
Sweet.

I'm still with my guitar right now and I plan to keep it in my arms for the next hour or so at the very least.

Lohri

Felicitations to all of you for the same. Some guy gets charred to death (Hiranayakashayap) and we holiday while sitting around bonfires.Nice (and weird) but I think I'll pass.

I woke up at 12:30 in the afternoon when Mr. Jha called for the umpteenth time since 8:30 in the morning. I had a bath and upon it's completion I was greeted by Mr. Sharma( CS Y Group). We then went to Mr. Jha's place to give him company. Lunch ensued. Everybody then dispersed promising to meet tomorrow.

Best of luck for tomorrow Mr. Jha (and Mr. Sodhi and the others too)

Here's something I found in my personal diary.It is something I probably jotted down in class 12.

Lingering Pain

She wanted to close the chapter but it was easier said than done. She hailed from the beautiful valley of Shimla. A place well known for its landscape, Mall and fair complexioned people of naive heart. Sarah was also fair, exuding radiance, tender and naive to the extent that could make her a misfit for this world.
At the vulnerable age of 17, Sarah came to the fast paced city of Delhi. The verdant valleys and pleasant climate were substituted by cemented jungles towering to touch the heavens and stifling air... Sarah was looking for some familiarity among quaint visages when she reached her room. She was greeted by none of her room mates.
No further details.
I shall be watching The Terminal tonight. Lets see what Spielberg and Hanks can conjure up together.

Went to Mr. Sahi's place to collect my belongings and guitar. He just got his guitar revamped and I played for around an hour I think. Megacool...

My First Off Day

I missed my bus in the morning today and that accounts for my typing these words right now. I think it appropriate to mention here that this is my first day off from college.
I've been watching movies all day so far. Went to lunch with Mr. Jha and Mr. Sodhi.They're busy preparing for tomorrow's exam.

Boys' Night Out

Went to college today.Attended only one lecture.A mass bunk followed it. Plans for an extended hliday (mass bunk) were soon crushed. Nobody knows the exact reason but that's the way the cookie crumbles.
We (Messrs Jha,Arneja,Mutti,Saini,Dhand and I!) went out to sector 11 for dinner as usual. Had chococinnos after that.
I shall now be watching "Saturday Night Fever".
Another day in the life of The Artful Dodger.

The Unexpected

The title refers to the encounters I chanced upon today.I had embarked to my bi/tri weekly pilgrimage to CCD(Cafe Coffee Day) and I met Ramnish Pal along with his female companion there. We exchanged pleasantries and caught up on old times. His companion recognised me too which came across as weird, but that's ok - my life IS that way...weird!!! I remember seeing her during the Annual Inter school carol singing tours. She's an ex-Carmelite but that is all I remember( in fact all I've ever known).

@Indrjeet Singh Sodhi - Wipe that smirk off of your face.

This was followed by me bumping into Vaibhav - another classmate from school. The same procedure was followed as stated above, only he was alone at the time.

I've just finished wathing The Exorcist. hmm... not bad. Good in parts.

College finally starts (for us) tomorrow.
I do hereby resolve to 'listen' to lectures delivered in class and not just 'hear' them. Let's see how long this resolution lasts!! I would probably give it a week or 2 at most.

I must mention one last thing here. The greatest benefit of Mr. Jha and Mr. Arneja moving to my Phase is that now I shall employ their services to procure assignments from Ms. Inderpreet Kaur. Lol I'm just kidding. I must,however, admit that I am overcome by guilt now everytime I go to her house to get something. Alas, if I weren't so lazy and could make them on my own , the world would be such a better place to live in!!!
Ok ok I know I might be talking weird now and I'll take that as my cue to say good night for now.

City of Angels

The day started at 7:30. Mr. Arneja (who slept over at my place) had to go to college and asked for my assistance to get to
the bus - stop. I returned and thought of putting stuff on for downloading(happy hours last till 8:00 in the morning) and
then go to sleep. The latter part of the previous sentence did not materialise and i found myself glued to my chair for the
next 6 hours.
I finally watched City of Angels. 1 word - Beautiful. So now it's 2 movies - Scent of a Woman and City of Angels.
It (C.O.A) is, undoubtedly, the best umm... how do I put it... love/romantic... movie of all time for me.
It shows love the way I've always imagined it to be - something that might last for even just a moment but I'd live in that moment forever... The way I'm starting to believe cannot exist in the world as I know it.I hope, from the bottom of my heart, that I am wrong on this account.
The fact that 'Iris' is also on the soundtrack(I've been listening to it all day today.See previous posts for the lyrics - November one's I guess or simply get them from the net) makes the movie experience all the better. A well suited soundtrack overall. If I could have even a tenth of the relationship that existed between Nicolas Cage and Meg Ryan, I'd consider myself the luckiest person to ever walk upon the face of Earth. Ahh... let's see where life takes me.
I am reminded of a beautiful quote on love here:

True love is giving someone the power to destroy you and trusting them not to.

On another note, I have this dude (ip address = 70.186.xxx.xxx) who's been trying to remotely access my system the past week and a half. I know how I've mentioned earlier that I don't hack stuff anymore or mess around with othr people's systems but when some people just don't give up then you're left with little choice.
The person concerned has been sent a little 'gift' from my side that should ensure the installation of self - executing
malicious code.It's basically going to ravage the registry ensuring corruption of atleast one disk partition along with a
"ping bomb" that should keep the processor and ram busy for a while. Blocked the ip too, offcourse.

Moving further along, Mr. Jha and Mr. Arneja finally Moved into their new ahem... accomodation.
They've brought enough clothing along with them to put any Tommy Hilfiger store to shame going by the amount of clothing.

Oh, by the way, here's a little tip - Do keep an event log or a monitor that traces any suspicious activity on your comp( like intrusions etc). Try out stuff like GFI LANguard etc.
Guess that's it for now.

This n That

I'm back yet again folks.
Alrightey now I'm here with my buddy Mr. Arneja right no. He is, as usual, busy on the phone.Hah. I can see him smiling right now as he reads this. He's now left the electronic gadget alone though.
He has his hands foldes as if in prayer right now.
I and Mr. Arneja were accompanied to FR by Mr Mutti. We planned to see a 9:45 show but lady luck had other plans. The show turned out to be a 10:40 one so we left empty handed. Mr. Sodhi had aball during the 3 hours when most of his comrades were suffering from the pangs of this beast they refer to as "Mathematics 3".
I guess I shall sign off for now.
