Expert Systems

I have just returned home after attempting an Expert Systems exam. Rest assured, I have written much on the same but the value of my writings in terms of marks shall be revealed only next week. My ES/SLLP book has been reported lost and unlike others I do not seem to care.
What I do care about right now are more important things in life … like Maggi and Pepsi.
I shall depart to devour the same.

This is a good time to mention that Ambica Verma looks almost exactly like Elaine Benis (from Seinfeld) when she used to have curly hair (Ms. Benis , I mean). Both of them even have the same pair of glasses !

Until next time …

Goodnight (though illogical here)

Semester Eight

This has been another typical semester in the land of wheat, a petrol pump and an engineering college – Bhaddal.

We have teachers who have in their possession certain characteristics that … well … set them apart from your average teacher.

We have subjects where no teachers have been allotted. The ones who have been allotted seem uninterested in conducting lectures.

Our Expert Systems lecturer seems to enter the classroom believing that the entire building is on fire.
He walks all over the place speaking at length on his subject in what I shall describe to be a heterogeneous blend of the English and Punjabi languages.
He calls out to people for answering his questions by a quick and sharp raise of the hand which appears to be an attempt to levitate the person in question.
Once ten minutes of his lecture have passed and he has finally finished banging into furniture the sense of urgency in his nature seems to absent itself in its entirety.

Our Environment Science teacher seems to think Aseem Gill is the only student in class. It’s almost like I’m under the spotlight all the time. Whether I’m noting down the lecture or whiling away my time doing nothing I keep getting the feeling of being watched.
Group X would know what I mean.

Then we have FLAT. I do not understand the meaning of those tiny circles and the null values that everybody writes on the connecting nodes.

Oh and Gurpreet, I know you told me not to mention the discussion on the blog and guess what … I won’t

In return I only ask off you to become my slave for life. Muahaha @ that.

Geetanjali … Your assignment is safe and is in the hands of IP. I apologize for any undue tension you might have borne because of Mr. Sahi and I. I must admit, though, that we (IP included) found it extremely funny and entertaining.

I shall end this post by taking my hat off to our new principal Mr. H.S Shaan.

They say that a man’s character is tested in trying times.

Mr. Shaan just passed with flying colours. One man standing up AND holding his own in front of a group of blood thirsty final year students.I’ve seen the so called best of the best staff members (both past and present) falter there.
Take a bow.

On The Burning Cross ...

Crucified … for no fault of mine again. I can almost feel the nails being driven in.

Resurrection doesn’t seem imminent in the near future.

Crap

People, it seems, liked what we had to offer at PECFest ’07. We now have official requests to teach people the western style of dancing.

I sometimes wonder … How do you teach people to dance?

We simply practice our routines and moves enough times so that our bodies are left with no choice but to follow suit. Dancing, however, is something much more than that. People figure it out for themselves, Some sooner than others but everybody does. Patience, it seems, is a virtue uncommon enough to be valued.

Michael Jackson once said that the biggest mistake people make while dancing is that they start thinking. … 1…2…3…4… Dance while you’re dancing. True.

One of the best and most effective ways, at least according to me, are practicing by yourself. No one but you and a mirror or your own shadow (candle light).

Simply try and move the way you wish to see yourself moving. It looks extremely embarrassing at times but the results are almost as big, if not bigger, than the risk undertaken.

Here’s another practical one by MJ – The greatest education in the world is watching the masters at work.

Anyway … much has happened in time gap between this post and the previous one and I, as is habitual with me now, do not bother to type it all out.

The PECFest ’07 performances, as captured on video, are average or a maybe just a notch above average (which equals poor).

I have enrolled for a .NET course along with Mr. Sahi. I’ve researched about the possibilities of coding on this platform and there’s enough here to satisfy my evil designs.

This reminds me of something closely linked …. Youtube Grabber is software and NOT a virus.

Trust me, I do not have enough time on my hands to send viruses to each person individually. I’d much rather crack your passwords! Muaha @ that.

That was a geeky joke.

Oh and lest I forget … HELP ME OUT WITH F.L.A.T!!! (and SLLP too while you’re at it).

Lastly, the Water Computer has been invented at MIT.

@ Mr. Berry I know it is against your will that I’m posting technical news here but I cannot help it at times. Moreover, the password to this blog is known only to me and therefore only I possess the ability to decide what goes on.

Another Muaha @ that.

Enough doodling. That should be enough crap for everybody to handle.

Making Memories Of Us

I'm gonna be here for you baby
I'll be a man of my own word
Speak the language in a voice that you have never heard
I wanna sleep with you forever
And I wanna die in your arms
In a cabin by a meadow where the wild bees swarm

And I'm gonna love you like nobody loves you
And I'll earn your trust making memories of us

I wanna honor your mother
And I wanna learn from your pa
I wanna steal your attention like a bad outlaw
I wanna stand out in a crowd for you
A man among men
I wanna make your world better than it's ever been

We'll follow the rainbow
Wherever the four winds blow
And there'll be a new day
Comin' your way
I'm gonna be here for you from now on
This you know somehow
You've been stretched to the limits but it's alright now

And I'm gonna make you a promise
If there's life after this
I'm gonna be there to meet you with a warm, wet kiss

And I'm gonna love you like nobody loves you
And I'll earn your trust makin' memories of us
And I'm gonna love you like nobody loves you
And I'll win your trust makin memories of us

What If I'm right?

You'll take me on a journey
And be there till the end
It won't be an uphill struggle
On you I can depend

You promised me a dream home
With roses round the door
You'll cover me in diamonds
There's nothing I want more
And
You'll be strong
And you'll turn me on

But I've got my doubts and what if I'm right?
You'll be true and be faithful too
But I've got my doubts and what if I'm right?
What if I'm right?

'coz if the rain starts falling
You'll protect me with your coat
And you'll always tape the football
And let me watch my soap

You'll always be as handsome
And your weight will never gain
And when I give birth to our children
I will feel no pain
And
You'll bring me flowers

And you'll bring the showers

But I've got my doubts and what if I'm right?
You'll say I'm thin and bring the washing in
But I've got my doubts and what if I'm right?
What if I'm right?

You'll always keep the magic
The tender love and care
And when you need to change the light bulb
You wont hand me the chair
And when we're tired of the city
And we find a country home
You'll sell your vinyl records
And go get us a loan

You'll be my sympathetic lover
And won't steal the covers
But I've got my doubts and what if I'm right?
You won't forsake me
Your mother won't hate me
But I've got my doubts and what if I'm right?
You'll be strong
And you'll turn me on
But I've got my doubts and what if I'm right?
You'll be true
And be faithful too
But I've got my doubts and what if I'm right?
What if I'm right?

The Resonance of Silence

Why can things not be like they were 15 years ago?
Would you undo everything if you knew what I'd have to go through all this while?
It still kills me to see you like this.
I've been OK. Just ... scarred.
None of this has ever been my doing. I wonder why I'm going through this. If only you could see it for yourselves ...

More than angry words I hate this silence
It's getting so loud
Well I want to scream
But bitterness has silenced these emotions
It's getting hard to breathe
So tell me isn't happiness
Worth more than a gold diamond ring?
I'm willing to do anything
To calm the storm in my heart
I've never been the praying kind
But lately I've been down upon my knees
Not looking for a miracle
Just a reason to believe

The road I'm walking on doesn't seem to be going anywhere
That's what makes the journey worthwhile
I prefer silence over words
I prefer solitude over company
I prefer a straight face over a smile
I am selfish and I'm proud of the same
I'm all I've ever had
I'm all I've ever needed
My world crashes around me for no fault of mine
I've somehow managed to put the shattered pieces together every single time up to this day
You wouldn't know
I wouldn't let you

I'm walking into darkness ...

And I'm completely at home with the thought

Goodnight
