Misc

A miracle is what I had promised myself and a miracle is what I have begotten.

On a different note here's a little C coding :

int i;
void main()
{
for(;i["] < i;++i){--i;}"];
read('-'-'-',i+++"hell\ o, world!\n",'/'/'/'));
}
read(j,i,p)
{write(j/p+p,i---j,i/i);
}

It's output ? hello world !

Hah.

By the way I think Microsoft should ship Direct Show filters along wih it's Media Player. See that way even if the EU forces MS to Remove Media Player from Windows, No other player should be able to work on Windows without Direct Show and other filters. This, in turn, should force the EU to undo their actions which by ,popular opinion, are simply outrageous.

The Sound of Silence

Hello darkness, my old friend, I've come to talk with you again, Because a vision softly creeping, Left its seeds while I was sleeping, And the vision that was planted in my brain Still remains Within the sound of silence. In restless dreams I walked alone Narrow streets of cobblestone,'Neath the halo of a street lamp, I turned my collar to the cold and damp When my eyes were stabbed by the flash of a neon light That split the night And touched the sound of silence. And in the naked light I saw Ten thousand people, maybe more. People talking without speaking, People hearing without listening, People writing songs that voices never share And no one dare Disturb the sound of silence. "Fools" said I, "You do not know Silence like a cancer grows. Hear my words that I might teach you, Take my arms that I might reach you. "But my words like silent raindrops fell, And echoed In the wells of silence And the people bowed and prayed To the neon god they made. And the sign flashed out its warning, In the words that it was forming. And the sign said, "The words of the prophets are written on the subway walls And tenement halls." And whisper'd in the sounds of silence.

Running in Circles

What if everything you ever believed in was a lie?

What if you depended on something/someone your whole life and that thing/one were snatched away from you?

What if nobody knew you existed?

What if nobody you knew existed?

What if you felt alone even in a crowd?

What if you felt in great company even when you were alone?

What if you weren't who you were?

What if I told you guilt is an image created by the mind?

What if you didn't believe me?

Would you give up your dreams if you knew you could never avhieve them?

Would you want to live with yourself if you weren't yourself?

Would you still love someone even if they didn't love you back?

Would you still feel for someone if they didn't feel the same way (stronger or weaker) about you?

Would you sell your soul if the price was right?

Would you believe me if I told you that you alone are the reason your life is the way it is?

Would you believe me if I told you I've felt more pain than you could possibly fathom and more joy than you could ever imagine?

Is there salvation in faith?

Will getting a good job satisfy me?

Will I survive with love alone?

Is weeping unwept tears worth it?

Is time as powerful as it is made out to be?

Is anything as powerful as it is made out to be?

Is anything as weak as it is made out to be?

Times change, people change, relationships change. Even when you don't want them to.

5 years from now, will you be able to look back on your life and proclaim "Time well spent" ?

Do you believe you're here for a reason?

Do you know the reason?

Are you doing anything about it?

Should you do anything about it?

Have you ever communicated with thoughts?

Have you ever given up hope?

Can words ever express your soul, your feelings?

Are you still reading this?

Life is a Savage Garden

Am I all alone in the universe?
There’s no love on these streets
I have given mine away to a world that didn’t want it anyway
So this is my new freedom
It’s funnyI don’t remember being chained

Blur

I'm losing touch with reality.
Is this a blur or is this my life fading away?

Time is passing me by and I can't seem to stop it. Do I really want to, though? I do not possess the answer.

I need a miracle. I'll either pray for it or make one happen myself but a miracle I shall have nonetheless.

Pray for me. I'm trying to bribe God into making a particular miracle happen for me because this feels so right that I'd want it to happen even if it were wrong.

I'm here and I'm waiting. I just don't want to wait forever. I can't. Please understand that.
No God, the previous were few lines were not for you. You are , however, the only one who knows who'what I'm talking about.

See what you can do about it. I know I'm trying but you know what the real problem is and where it lies and the way out as well. I think it's high time I had the cure.

Waiting. Bleeding ...

All in a Day's Work

I've been busy. Very busy.
It's 12:54 AM right now and I have to make a whole set of questions for a technical quiz (ACE) finalise a c++ source code for the debugging contest, make up a confirmation of our Industrial Visit to this company called Diebold that we were to visit in Bombay. Then I have attach a whole project for Sobby and send it. I have to inquire about the rules at Cyanide (PU's fest). Thapar is to follow suit. People are crying out for their result so have to attend to that as well.

Oh and Anmol and Yours Truly got selected in the finals of the Technical Paper Presentation to be held at Thapar later this week. I have to prepare the slides for that as well. Not to mention re-edit the tracks for Cyanide and make a fresh track for the solo at Thapar.

All in a day's work
I'd say goodnight but nothing could be farther from the truth right now.
May the force be with you

Blog This

It is 10:36 A.M right now and I have just been woken up from my hibernation lasting a little over 16 and a half hours.

Well I could sleep forever, but it's of her I dream.
If I could sleep forever, I could forget about everything.
If only ...

Anyways this was preceded by a 9 and a half hour shift spent on preparing a presentation on Windows Hacking and Network Vulnerabilities.
Relax ... nothing illegal has been discussed but there are a few interesting tricks that have been covered.
The paper shall be presented on the 23rd of this month in college and the following day at Thapar.
Anyways enough of that.
I plan to finally finish Pepsi to Apple (John Scully) this weekend.

Here's the latest big hack :
Windows Xp was made to run on a Mac ! (for the uninitiated Xp cannot run on a Mac because Xp runs only on the x86 architecture and Mac supports the PowerPc architecture).

Here's the video :

http://youtube.com/watch?v=nzH6OFpXgzI

I must attend to more important matters right now.
Ciao (This goes out to Mr. Jha)

Of OS Security

I finally did it. It took almost two days but I did it.
Bye Bye Windows XP passwords.
Found another way to bypass windows security on the NT platform.
So that makes it all Windows versions whose security can be compromised.
Wake up Mr. Gates !!!

Exhilirating.

I've been eating chocolate all day long.
I've been online all day long.
I've been messing around with my system all day long.
I've been thinking all day long.

Alas... all in a day's work.

Listening to Broken by Seether. Worth it.

Ahem

HOLY MOTHER OF GODDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

SOUTH AFRICA'S PULLED IT OFF !!!

The greatest ODI ever to have taken place.

I hope this is proof that faith in your own self can take you places even if others doubt you.

Faith faith faith ... miracles are not imaginations of the mind.

If you can dream it then you can achieve it.

Anybody who disagrees with this to the extent of the difference knows nothing about what is possible.

Top of the World

That's how I'm feeling right now. So this is what being reborn feels like.

In Chad Kroegar's words :

I'm so high I can hear heaven

Something's gotta go wrong coz I'm feeling way too damn good

I'm in one of those moods where no matter what you do you cannot get me bogged down. Just bring on the bad news babe !

Anyways I have nothing much to write home about.

Umm... here's something :

Mr. William H. Gates a.k.a Bill

(321) 456-7890

President, Microsoft Corporation

100 Windows Drive

Redmond, WA 47568

Steve Jobs - steve@mac.com

Was feeling bored so I thought of sharing stuff thats all.

Australia has just scored a world record 434/4 in their allotted 50 overs and guess what?
South Africa has replied back with a 168/1 in 20 overs. Hellgoddamnably Awesome !!! cricket. Mindboggling and interesting.

Gibbs and Smith are pumelling the opposition for now. Watch the match if you read this in time.

Hardy wants me to watch Crash with him tonight. I do not know if I should accede to his request or refrain.
I finally sorted out account problems at Browser yesterday. I now have enough reading material on my hands to last me this week. Yippie for that.

This goes out to Hardy :

Hardeep Singh Somal pudding and pie
Kissed the girls and made them cry
When the boys came out to play
Hardeep Singh Somal ran away !!!

I've been thinking about this ... Is a zebra white with black stripes or black with white stripes?

By the way , mom thinks I have an exceptionally high EQ (Emotional Quotient).

I disagree.

Adios for now

About the Trip

Females cannot play cards very well.

Yatin Singla loves jumping off moving trains.

I can Ice Skate.

Water Scooters are fun.

So is paragliding/sailing.

Everybody in Goa speaks english.

The prices of coffee at CCD Goa are inflated.

Coke still rocks.

Eunuchs strike terror in our hearts.

Garima Sareen can speak in a very mature and convincing fashion (atleast when she wants to ! lolz). Has a lot going on inside her mind I think. Mosquitoes love her blood (AB-).

IP Kaur cannot control her laughter. She can talk at length without running out of gas.

GurPreet Kaur is the same as she is in college. A wonderful trait to possess.

Yatin Singla should not be entrusted with room keys.

Most Goan food is inedible.

Long journeys can be fun if you want them to be.

Bombay is HUGE.

Bathing in the Ocean is of critical importance.

Digicams are worth their value.

I'm hungry right now. ( Sorry ! :) ).

Sitting at the door and facing the countryside on a moving train is gratifying.

Racing in hotel corridors is fun.

Trying out frozen 1990s on the hotel staircases is even more fun.

Solitude is liberation.

Never leave chocolates unattended (even in a locked room).

Always play cards with Dipin if you wish to win a bet (amongst guys).

Garima Sareen's method of bluffing( In BLUFF) is announcing that out of the 2/3 people who have already made their move atleast one of them is lying. This shifts focus from her onto the others and that's when she bluffs her cards.

Females love "coochee-cooing" babies.

Sharks and Prawns taste nice.

Fenny is nothing but homemade liquor.

Babies hate me.

It's Not About the Bike (Lance Armstrong's autobiography) is definitely worth reading.

Half the class has started off on Five Point Someone.

Noone out of that half has finished it yet.

Ashish Saini is one happy soul now.

If superficiality is the name of the game then I'd rather be disqualified.

Practising salsa from 1:00 a.m to 3:00 a.m in a train is not so queer.

Manreet is good at dumb charades.

Anjali looks better in her new hairdo.

I've forgotten who Kiranveer is :( .

Ms. Reena can eat a maximum of 3 chappatis a meal and knows loads about me. I am still obfuscated by how she knows all that.

Dhand, thou art the devil incarnate.

The Bom Jesus Basilica is still the same as it was 10 years ago.

Goa's idea of a cruise party is lame.

Almost all people have their comfort zones beyond which they are reluctant to venture.

When Yatin Singla speaks, nobody understands.

The rollercoasters at Esselworld are a big disappointment.

Raindancing is not that bad and not that good.

If you can moonwalk on a beach (or sand) then you can moonwalk almost anywhere.

Aditi Pal pronounces "the" as "thee" most of the times. ( Please do correct that if you ever notice it).

"The" is pronounced in case it is succeeded by a consonant sound and it is pronounced as "thee" when it is suceeded by an article sound.

There's no place like Chandigarh.

Every point written so far has ben terminated with a period.

You are either wondering what the meaning of "period" is here or you're probably scrolling up to check if the previous point holds validity or not.

I still wish to mention many more points, some particularly interesting ones, but I must bid adieu for now. Amitoj wants me to find some webcam drivers online.

Farewell

Afterthoughts

I'm back.
The trip is over and the coming week long mass bunk shall commence from Monday.

In this past one week I've experienced pain, heartache, elation, carefreeness like never before. I've been to the edge and beyond and back again
Have spent a lot of time with myself. Give solitude a chance - You shall not regret it.
I can safely conclude that I have grown up more in one week than I have in the past one year.
I've had my world crash around me in this week but maybe some things are just plain necessary to get you back on track.

I hereby thank the Lord for everything - both the pain and the joy I've been through in this period.
Amen
